Getting there:Nearest railway station: Varkala.
Nearest airport: Thiruvananthapuram international airport, nearly 57 km away.

You can fly direct to Trivandrum from any major city in India and then catch a train to Varkala. During the peak season charter flights operate from France and Britain to Trivandrum.

Varkala is 50 km North from Trivandrum & 24 km South of Kollam. Trivandrum is the nearest airport to Varkala. Trains take 50 minutes from Trivandram to Varkala and cost Rs 16 one way by 2nd class passenger train. A Taxi from Trivandrum is easy to acquire and costs roughly Rs 350.

Auto-Rickshaws from Varkala train station to the Cliff (ask for the heli-pad) cost roughly Rs 25. This covers a distance of roughly 4 km and takes you to where most of the accommodation is located.  Auto-Rickshaws from Temple junction to the cliff cost approximately Rs 10-15.
