About Al Waha Hotel

Al Waha, Oman's first dedicated leisure hotel, is the largest of three hotels at Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa, Muscat.
The name Al Waha means "The Oasis", and has been designed in such a way that the hotel's several swimming pools form an oasis incorporating many date palm trees.
Nestled at the foot of a mountain range, vehicular access has been made possible by a man-made tunnel.
The architecture of Al Waha is traditional Dhofari, from the southern region of Oman.
Comprising 262 guestrooms with a minimum room size of 37 square metres, each room provides guests with either a balcony or patio, all of which are sea-facing.

About Al Bandar Hotel

Al Bandar is one of three new hotels at Shangri-La's Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa, Muscat. The name Al Bandar means "The Town" and the architecture of the hotel is inspired by old Muscat, featuring buildings of varying heights and a variety of ornate balconies.

Al Bandar is the resort’s focal point, featuring eight food and beverage outlets and 11 meeting rooms, as well as the spectacular Barr Al Jissah Ballroom measuring 1,056 square metres and providing banquet-style seating for up to 700 people.
The five-star deluxe property provides 198 sea-facing guestrooms, each offering a minimum of 45 square metres of space and including a balcony or terrace.

The Al Husn Hotel, an exclusive six-star indulgence, offers our highest level of Shangri-La service, amenities and privileges to the most discerning of travellers.

Restaurant

Shangri-La's Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa offers a wide choice of dining at each of our three hotels. At the Al Waha, enjoy the culinary theatre and Latin flavours of Samba, or pick up a child-friendly meal at the Surf Café.

Al Bandar is home to Capri Court, featuring contemporary Italian cuisine, as well as Tapas & Sablah, an outdoor dining experience complete with live entertainment. Al Tanoor features an evocative Arabian atmosphere that creates an engaging dining experience at each of our many open culinary stations.

Two culinary high points of Oman may be found at the Al Husn: Sultanah, a stylish restaurant with a luxury cruise theme, and Shahrazad, the only authentic Moroccan restaurant in Muscat, which serves traditional Moroccan cuisine in a contemporary and refined setting.

Whilst at the beach, enjoy Bait Al Bahr, the ideal place to enjoy traditional Omani seafood against the backdrop of a magnificent sunset.

• Al Tanoor serves the characteristic cuisines of the Arabian Gulf region in a traditional Omani atmosphere. The interior is designed with Arabian tents, pottery, and vibrant colors which complement the enticing dishes prepared for you at the open cooking stations.
  
  In addition to Arabian cuisine, the restaurant offers Mediterranean, Persian and Turkish favourites, as well as a tempting selection of fresh fruits and juices. A la carte dining is also available.
• Enjoy freshly-prepared Omani seafood right by the beach at Bait Al Bahr, the resort’s ideal spot to catch the setting rays of the sun over the tranquil Gulf of Oman.
• An authentic Italian restaurant emphasizing high-quality ingredients, contemporary Italian recipes and a large selection of fine wines, Capri Court also offers a private dining room for special occasions.
• Samba, our popular Latin American restaurant, features sumptuous cuisines from Mexico, Chile, Peru, Brazil and Ecuador, as well as savoury Argentinean grilled meats.
  
  Dishes are prepared in open show kitchens, providing an engaging opportunity to interact with the chefs. A Tequila Bar inside the restaurant is also open during lunch and dinner.
• The only authentic Moroccan restaurant in Muscat, Shahrazad offers the exquisite tastes of traditional Moroccan cuisine in a contemporary, elegant setting.
• Sultanah offers a uniquely stylish a la carte dining experience, imaginatively presented as the interior of a luxury cruise liner showcasing captivating views of the sea. Evening menus vary according to the ‘port of call’ on the liner’s itinerary for that night.

• Surf Cafe is a fashionable fast-food restaurant with its own Internet Café. Serving healthy salads and snacks, as well as burgers and sandwiches, Surf Café is a great spot to connect and enjoy casual fare.
• Tapas & Sablah, a relaxing piazza in the heart of the resort, serves Mediterranean and Asian tapas as well as Middle Eastern mezze late into the night, complimented by a full beverage selection.
