The 4 royal suites, 20 deluxe suites and 19 spacious rooms of Samode Palace redefine the word comfort. Each room, with its own unique personality, is elegantly and luxuriously furnished. Four poster-beds draped with sheer, delicate fabric and exquisitely carved couches invite you to relax completely. The flowers follow you everywhere - from the courtyards and the painted lounges to the charming prints on the flowing curtains and linen that softly brush against you, the rose petals in your bathtub and your Jacuzzi to the beautiful intricate patterns on the rich carpets beneath your feet.

Colour and spirit mingle with the sparkling of white linen and marble and with the warm wood of exquisite furniture. Old photographs of the family, weddings, hunting expeditions, and regal gatherings hang easily on the walls beside the large TV screen. Each royal suite is a luxe apartment with its own private courtyard looking out to the mountains, and a Jacuzzi. Do ask for your preference, for at Samode it is our privilege to serve you. A room on the lowest level will be best if you find it difficult to climb the stairs, a twin bed room is excellent if you aren't sharing the bed with your companion, romance deserves a special suite. Honeymooners find the dream-like setting and the invisible, discreet service enchanting.

Food and Wine

The buffet breakfast is served in the courtyard under the shade of trees and the chirping of birds, with the excellent staff who cheerfully suggest what you may enjoy. The two restaurants offer a choice of royal Rajasthani delicacies or scrumptious Asian and European fare. Stunning murals vie with the food in stealing your attention. Evening cocktails by the poolside or a romantic candle-lit dinner at the terrace garden catch the starlight of the clear Rajasthani nights. Of course you may prefer in-room dining if you can't tear yourself away from the magnificence of your residence.

The Palace has an extensive wine cellar, with a handpicked and expert choice of both International and Indian varietals.

Things to do

Swim in a clear marble and mosaic swimming pool or rejuvenate with a dip in the outdoor Jacuzzi. Laze by the rooftop Infinity pool and catch a breathtaking sunset with the vistas of the Aravalli Range and a brilliantly lit fort as a backdrop.

The Spa offers luxurious massage therapies by trained professionals in charming rooms that invite you to forget the world and give in to the power of indulgence. Health facilities include a fully-equipped fitness centre, sauna and steam room.

Take a jeep safari around the villages and fields, visiting local shrines, bazaars - drive through for a coffee or a meal to the royal gardens of Samode Bagh. For the more adventurous visitor, horse and camel safaris are available and special visits to the sand dunes can be arranged. If you like you could walk out of the gates of the Palace and through the cobbled lanes of Samode village and market stopping by the little shops of the bangle maker, the cloth merchant, the gemstone expert.
