 Danta
was an 895 sq. km. Princely state ruled by the Parmars, descendants of the great
King Vikramaditya of Ujjain. The Parmars made Chandravati their capital
following the Arab conquest of 1200 AD. After the battle against Allauddin
Khilji, they migrated to Tarsang. From there they moved to Danta three hundred
and eighty years ago. Danta has a glorious past - of great kings, heroic
warriors and gods who watched over them and sometimes stepped down onto earth to
change the course of history. The care of the people of Danta is said to have
been entrusted to the Parmars by Goddess Ambaji herself. Navratri Puja is
performed by the Maharana of Danta in the famous temple at Ambaji every year .

How to Reach
By Road :
 a)
Danta is 170 kms from Ahmedabad which is the nearest airport.
Come from Ahemdabad on the Highway which is 180 kms .Ahmedabad Mehsana Sidhpur
Palanpur and destination Danta.
b) The other route is 165 kms Ahmedabad Gandhinagar Visnagar Vadnagar Kheralu
Satlasna and destination Danta.
c) Come from Udaipur which is 200 kms by pass Abu Road and come on to Ambaji and
then drive onto Danta.
We are only 70 kms from Mt.Abu. Nearest Station is Abu Road & Palanpur. Pick ups
can be arranged from the station on request and also taxis can be arranged to
the airport which is in Ahmedabad.
