Re-Creating, with splendid panache,
the princely life style of Ramgarh (India). Once there opulent
abode, today is custom built heritage Hotel The fort Ramgarh.
From every Fort echoes its
historical past for miles. Each has tale to narrate-of-love and
passion, of scandal and chivalry, of heroism, and battles. So says
The fort Ramgarh.
The Fort Ramgarh resonates with a
glorious 350-years past. It was Built by Kushal Singh, who came to
the plains from the Himalayan State of Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh
around 1650 AD. Kushal Singh was a descendant of Chandel Rajput
rulers of Central India who built the famous Khajuraho temples.
Their Capital was Chanderi (Bundelkhand).
A Part of The Fort Ramgarh is now a
heritage retreat. As you enter it through a 37 feet high Door
considered to be the tallest gate in India, you are welcomed by
breezy whiffs of the past mingling with the present. The ambience -
an ancient well, sun clock and disused tunnels, transports you to an
atmosphere of exotic splendor, where Rajput tradition unfolds at
every step. The stay at The Fort Ramgarh is a matchless experience.
