Accommodation
- The Camps and Safaris Captures the luxurious nostalgia
of a bygone age of the Maharaja's Safari and Shikar camps, combined with
innovative design demonstrating many of the skills and crafts of Marwar.
The camp consists of tents, each with verandah, bedroom and bathroom.
There is a large dining tent serving the best of Rajasthani Cuisine and
a large open reception tent seating areas. The campfire is the focal
point for the evening entertainment programme with drinks and rhytms of
the Thar - music, dancing, magicians, puppet shows, jugglers, flaming
torches and camel parades.
The Camps and Safaris
has 100 most luxurious Swiss tents and 40 deluxe tents with all modern
conveniences and amenities like comfortable beds, clean linens,
sophisticated furniture, carpet and toilets all of which makes for a
truly satisfying stay. The tents are spacious and are provided with
round the clock services making ones desert holiday in Jaisalmer to
be a truly rewarding experience.
Dining :
True to the excellent hospitality standards set by Camps and Safaris,
there are two exclusive dining enclosures which can accommodate upto
a maximum of 100 guests. The Dining Hall are managed by expert chefs
with years of culinary experience under their belt. The very best of
Continental, oriental, Indian and Rajasthani delicacies are
available at this impressive Dining Hall. There are provisions for
refreshing drinks as well as crispy snacks.
Recreation :
As far as innovative outdoor recreation is concerned, few can match
the Camps and Safaris repertoire of recreational avenues. Every
evening a bonfire is lit up around which guests are seated and enjoy
the enchanting folk dance and music of Rajasthan. Puppet shows are
an outright hit with the young crowd. Trips to the nearby wild
desert national park (Subject to administration Permission) is also
conducted by Camps / Jeep Safari are operated. Exclusive camel
safaris too are operated by Camps and Safaris. The safaris often
bypass intriguing Rajasthani villages and guests are provided with a
fabulous opportunity to come face to face with the nomadic folks of
the desert who lead an enchanting lifestyle.
Facilities -
Once a year in winters and on the middle of the
continually rising and falling stark yellow sands of the great Thar
Desert, the empty sands around Jaisalmer come alive with the
brilliant colour, music and laughter of the Desert Festival. The
festival is organised by the tourist authorities as tourist
entertainment around January-February.
The public areas of camp consist of an
open-air restaurant which offer fabulous views of the Desert. The
Camp comes alive in the evening with campfire, mashaals, musicians,
dancers, camel safaris & traditional live cultural entertainment.
The camp tents are luxury Swiss Cottages
with all the modern amenities. The tents are comfortable and
spacious. Rooms are carpeted and tastefully furnished demonstrating
many of the skills, and designs of the local handicrafts combined
with the best and most modern amenities.
All the tents have attached toilets with
running water and hand showers. Running water is provided not only
at base camp, but also on the mobile camps while on a camel safari,
enabling the guests to have a good shower after a dusty safari.
The large fully enclosed dining tent
caters to large groups and has a seating capacity of 80 to 90
guests. A typically evening while on a safari - Camp fire with live
entertainment by the "kalbeliya" dancers. We are an organization

Rising from the heart of the Thar Desert like a golden
mirage is the city of Jaisalmer. A commanding fort etched in yellow
sandstone stands with all its awesome splendours, dominating the
amber-hued city.
DESERT FESTIVAL, JAISALMER
(JAN-FEB) - Once a year in winters and on

Programe of overnight Camping:
Leave after lunch at around 15.30 hours
for Village Kanoi (40 Kms) reach Kanoi Village and take a camel safari
for 8/10 Kms and arrive sam sand dunes by sun set, after witnessing sun
set guest will be shifted to our camp site. Welcome of group with
dhol/Thali and Garlanding. Tea/Coffe and snacks. Folk music, Gala Dinner
(Vegetarian and Non Vegatarian) . Overnight in Swiss Tents. Breakfast at
camp and after breakfast drive back to Jaisalmer /next destination.
