The Royal Residency (Khengar Bhavan) built adjoining the Palace was established in 1882 as the residency of the British Resident in the ruler's minority

Recently augmented and renovated, this late colonial style building offers the royal guests a choice of 12 authentically maintained suites with fine views - all representative of a byegone era.

Each of these suites are named after different ruling princes, a viceroy, the Duke of Connaught, jeweller Jacques Cartier, Mahatma Gandhi's father and the first Governor-general of India, all of whom have been friends of the Wankaner Royal Family.
