The West Sikkim's district Headquarters are at Geyzing.
Yuksom
Yuksom was the first capital of Sikkim. The real adventure begins from
here, as it serves as the base camp for unforgettable treks into the
wilds of the mountains.These high altitude alpine treks take you through
fairy tale landscapes, dense Rhododendron forest to heights of about
12,800 ft. at Dzongri or to Goe Chala at a height of 18,000 ft.

Khecheopalri Lake

Many believe it is to be a Wish-fulfilling lake.
Pemayangtse Monastery
Pamayangtse Monastery (112 kms from Gangtok) of the Nyingampa order is
one of premier institutions of Sikkim. It was built by Gyala Lhatsun
Chenpo in the 17th century. The monastery housing the incredible Zandog
Phalri, a wooden carving depicting the various realms of Buddhism.
One can
also takes in the panoramic views of the majestic Eastern Himalayan
range from Soreng, Kaluk, Rinchenpong.
Pelling
A small alpine village at a height of 6000 ft. For the nearest view of
Mount Khangchendzonga and surrounded peaks this village becomes a centre
of attraction in west Sikkim for the nature lover.
Yangtay
3 kms from Geyzing Yangtay is a beautiful place offers an exquisite view
of Mount Khangchendzonga and surrounding peaks.

Vershey
The best green destination in West Sikkim is Vershey, a small
rhododendron sanctuary. Vershey is situated almost on the Singalila

is one of the important activities here. Treaking through old
rhododendron trees, hanging mosses, rare flora, wild orchids and red
pandas and other wild lifes are the speciality of this sanctuary. One
can enjoy treaking to a small village Hilley at a height of 9000 ft.
