Activities
In house activities
You can trek through the seventy acre
cardamom plantation under the shade of a variety of evergreen trees,
most of which are 200-300 yrs old.
Birds like black and orage flycatcher,
Nilgiri pipit, Nilgiri wood pigeon, Kerala laughing thrush etc are found
inside the plantation. A variety of butterflies can aslo be seen in the
plantation.
Macaques, forest squirrel, Barking
Deer, monitor lizard, Hornbill, Wild Elephant etc are seen inside the
plantation.

The Ambady dining room offers
delectable dishes of Kerala Style cooking. The Kerala meals include
white/boiled rice with a variety of side dishes having an aromatic
coconut blend, along with crispy ‘pappadams’ and the mouth-watering
dessert, ‘Payasam’, served on the banana leaf.
For breakfast you have ‘appam’, ‘dosa’,
‘idli’, ‘puttu’ etc. However we would be delighed to cater to your
special request on prior notice. Most dishes at Ambady Estate are
prepared with fresh vegetables and spices from the plantations's organic
farm. The guests are allowed to watch the chef cooking, and even try
their hand in it.
Accommodation
Ambady Estate offers four
twin cottages, retaining all the charm of colonial bungalows and a two
bedroom house, providing an invigorating and rejuvenating holiday
experience.
