Dalethorpe Homestay Outer View Feel the mesmerism of the old English Bungalow. . . . 
Built in the 1930s, Dalethorpe is a charming English bungalow nestled between the evergreen slopes of Kodaikanal. Though set in close proximity to the heart of the tourist town (Convent Road – less than a Kilometer from the lake), it is tucked away in its own little corner away from all hustle and bustle.

Set in one and a half acres of lush green land, Dalethorpe is surrounded by meadows, Pine groves, Eucalyptus trees & Wattles. Flanked by beautiful lawns and a garden with exotic organically grown ornamental flowers and medicinal plants, Dalethorpe is a haven for a relaxing holiday. And that's not all, if you are lucky, you could probably even spot some of the most beautiful birds native to Kodai including the Nilgiri Laughing Thrush, White Eye, Serpent Eagle, to name a few.

At Dalethorpe, we believe in personalized service and offer a wide variety of home made vegetarian and non-vegetarian food from our well equipped kitchens. We have two suite cottages and four deluxe rooms with all the facilities of a Hotel. 
 

Please Note : We do not function like conventional resorts or hotels. Our services are unique and we try to make your stay with us as homely as possible.

Getting Here

One can reach kodai via any one of the ghat routes on either side of the hills. The oldest one is the Kodai road. Another one from palani is comparatively steeper and ghat route is longer than Kodai road.

  • THE SUITE COTTAGES: The Suite Cottages with its elegant English charm offers a luxurious residential ambience. It has tastefully done interiors with a spacious bedroom (with fire place in one of the cottages), attached bathroom and a living room. The Suite is adorned with bay windows, overlooking the lawn.

  • DELUXE ROOM: The Deluxe Rooms are, with stylish wooden floors and bay windows overlooking the lawn provide comfort for your stay. It has one spacious bedroom with an attached bathroom.

  • STANDARD ROOM:The Standard Rooms are, same as Deluxe but bit smaller in size of the room as well as the windows with an attached bathroom.

  • THE INDEPENDENT COTTAGE: A spacious single room cottage which is rustically made and tastefully & thematically done interiors has a fireplace and an attached bathroom. The cottage is surrounded by pear trees and a small lawn in front of it. A perfect cottage for honeymooners!
