Things to do

A Day at the Beach

Spend a day out on the beaches of North Goa. Our favourite beaches are the less crowded Morjim, Ashvem and Mandrem; here the sea is calm and the beaches are not too rocky. The shore is lined with little cafes, shacks, and restaurants so you can spend an entire day enjoying the Goan sun, sand and sea. The beaches of Morjim, Mandrem and Ashvem are a fifty minute drive from the hotel.

Gone Fishing

Go out to sea with our boatman from the neighboring fishing village of Nerul. Cast a line in Dolphin bay or sail up the Sinquerim River and try your hand at some crab catching. Don’t worry, we’ll provide the rods!

 Explore Goa’s Churches

One of the best examples of baroque architecture in India, the Basilica of Bom Jesus is a UNESCO World Heritage site and also houses to the remains of St. Francis Xavier of Assisi. You can take a tour of this 16th century church along with other churches in Old Goa. The church is located 50 minutes away from the hotel.

A Private Tour of the Funde Çao Museum

Referred to as the Rembrandt of the East, Antonio Xavier Trindade is very close to our heart as he is also the grandfather of the hotel’s owner! Visit the Funde Çao Oriente museum, located 30 minutes from the hotel, for a guided tour of A.X. Trindade’s works.

A Heritage Walk Through Goa’s Colonial Past

About a half hour drive from the hotel is the historic Portuguese area of Fontainhas, famous for winding streets and colonial architecture. Take an architectural walk through the area and visit the fountain at the foot of the Altinho Hills after which the area is named

A Stroll to Reis Magos Fort

Take in the morning sea breeze and enjoy a 25-minute stroll along the seaside toward the Reis Magos Fort, which dates back to 1551. The Fort was originally used to accommodate dignitaries on their way to or from Lisbon. Explore the beautiful colonial architecture and visit the Reis Magos Church, the first church in Bardez.
