Welcome to Lodge at Pong
Overlooking the waters of the Maharana Pratap Sagar and the Dhauladhar Himalayan Mountain Range, the lodge is situated in the heart of the Ramsar Pong Dam Wetland Sanctuary, which is the largest fresh water sanctuary in India with a water area of 475 sq. km.
The sanctuary, is a haven for resident and migratory birds besides a wide variety of aquatic fauna, and has been listed as a wetland of international ecological importance by the Ramsar Foundation.
At the Lodge @ Pong, you will enjoy a carefree boat ride, a unique boat safari or just gaze at the mesmerizing lake with a backdrop of the snow capped Dhauladhar Range from our roof top restaurant.
Location: The size of Pong Dam and its location in the extreme northwest of the northern plains make it a suitable habitat for migratory birds entering the plains of India from Central Asia. Over 220 bird species belonging to 54 families have been recorded.
