How to Reach Meghalaya

  • By Air: Shillong Airport (SHL) has limited flights. Most travelers fly into Guwahati International Airport (GAU) in Assam (approx. 80–100 km away) and drive to Shillong (2–3 hours).

  • By Train: Nearest major railway station is Guwahati.

  • By Road: Well-connected from Guwahati via NH6. Shared taxis, private cabs, and buses are easily available.

Pro Tip: Fly into Guwahati and hire a private cab for flexible sightseeing in the hills.
