Munnar is a magnificent hill station in the Western Ghats at about 5000 feet above sea level. Munnar is the best hill station in Kerala and is the major centre of Kerala's tea industry. It is surrounded by about 30 tea estates, amongst the highest in the world and a forest that is still rich in wildlife that continues to survive the increasing commercial use of the hills. The luxuriant forest is hung with pepper vines. And cardamom plants carpet the damp forest floor.

Munnar means three rivers and the town is located at the confluence of 3 mountain streams - Muthirapusha, Nallathanni and Kundala. These 3 stream confluence at the heart of the town and meet all the water requirements of the settlers and visitors. Munnar has lakes, forests and several tea estates. Anaimudi, the highest peak in South India 2695 mtrs/8883 ft. is nearby. Munnar was the British Government's Summer Resort in the South and it has been the favourite summer resort of the European sellers for centuries.

Itinerary : 

Day 1 : Cochin

Pick up from Airport/railway station and proceed to Cochin, check in at the hotel, visit, St Francis Church, the oldest Church in India, more than 500-year-old Portuguese Houses, Cantilevered Chinese fishing nets, 16th century Synagogue, Jew Town and Mattancherry Palace, built by Portuguese, Palace contains some of India's most beautiful murals. Overnight, stay at Abad Plaza.


Day 2 : Cochin to Munnar

After breakfast, proceed to Munnar (140 km / 4. hrs). Munnar, one of the most famous hill station situated on the Western Ghats at a height of 1600 metres above sea level. It is essentially a tea town – miles of unending tea plantation can be seen here. Enroute - Cheyyappara, Valara waterfalls and Karadipara View Point. Overnight, stay at Abad Copper Castle.


Day 3 :Munnar

After breakfast sightseeing to Eravikulam National Park also known as Rajamalai, the natural habitat of Niligiri Thar. Niligiri Thar can see very closely here. Later visit a tea factory and tea museum, Mattupetty dam, Echo point and the Kundala Lake. Boating facilities are available at Mattupetty Dam (entry charges extra payment on your own). Overnight, stay at Abad Copper Castle.


Day 4 :Thekkady

After breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Thekkady, which is also known as Periyar (110 km / 3.30 hrs) Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the world's most fascinating natural wildlife reserves. Enroute visit Lock Heart Gap, Anayirangal Dam. Overnight stay at Abad Green Forest.


Day 5 : Kumarakom

After breakfast checkout from hotel, departure to Kumarakom (150 km / 4 hrs) the backwater destination of Kerala. Check in at the Resort. Visit Kumarakom bird sanctuary and overnight stay at Abad Whispering Palms.


Day 6 : Kumarakom to Marari

After breakfast, check out from the resort and proceed to visit Kumarakom bird sanctuary. Evening you can visit Beach which is 500 meter away from the resort Overnight, stay Abad Turtle Beach.


Day 7 : Departure

Check out from the hotel, transfers to the Airport/ railway station and you are your way to the home town.
