Srinagar - The Lake City Srinagar is located in the heart of the Kashmir valley at an altitude of 1,730 m above sea level, spread on both sides of the river Jhelum. The Dal and Nagin lakes enhance its picturesque setting, while the changing play of the seasons and the salubrious climate ensures that the city is equally attractive to visitors around the year.

Pick up from Srinagar Hotel After early breakfast leave to see the famous Mughal Gardens, Shalimar Gardens and the Cheshma Shahi (The Royal Spring) & Nishat Bagh (The Garden of Pleasure) laid out by Jahangir for his beloved Noor Jahan in 1632 AD. Round off the trip with a visit to the Oriental Kashmir Carpet factory. After lunch and a brief rest, leave by car for half day sightseeing of Srinagar City visiting the Hari Parbat Fort, Jama Masjid (the Great Mosque built in 1313 AD) the old bazaar on the banks of the Jhelum and the Shah Hamdan Shrine.
Back to hotel by 19:00hrs

Ahdoos and Mughal Darbar for Kashmir Food are serving excellent meals..Nathu’s on the Boulevard & Krishna Dhaba near Sonwar offer exclusive authentic Vegetarian Food.

SHOPPING

Kashmir Handicrafts like Carpets and Shawls are world famous. There are many shops offering Kashmiri Handicrafts etc. which may be visited. It is advisable to visit Govtt approved Stores, which are prominent Export Houses and manufacturers of quality Kashmir Carpets

COMMUNICATION

BSNL, Aircel, Idea, Vodafone, Reliance, & Airtel offers its Mobile Telephony here. Both Pre & Post paid Cell phones are functioning in the valley. There is no Roaming connectivity to any Prepaid Mobile Services. Only Post Paid sim Cards have Roaming facility in J&K. Please ensure you carry the above telephone with roaming facility with you.

HOUSEBOATS.

The Houseboats supply hot water in the mornings and evenings and if it is required at any other time, please ask the captain of your houseboat who will supply without any extra charges. The Houseboats have experienced cooks and if you wish to have anything special prepared for you, please ask the captain. He will try to satisfy your needs. You are requested to deposit your valuables, with the Manager for safety.

INTERNET SERVICE

Internet Browsing centers are available at Boulevard & Regal Chowk. From 10 to 8 PM in summers & 10:30 to 6:30 in the winters. Most of the Hotels have business centers with Wi-Fi Connectivity
