Overland Journey to Ladakh - 8 nights / 9 days Packages

Day 01: Manali – Jispa (139 Kms | 5-6 hrs approx.)

Start your journey early in the morning from Manali to Jispa, crossing the majestic Rohtang Pass (13050 ft) and entering the Lahaul Valley. Explore the Raja Gyepan temple at Sissu Village, and enjoy lunch at Keylong. Afterward, drive to Jispa. On arrival, check in at the camp or guest house for an overnight stay.

Day 02: Jispa – Leh (335 Kms | 10-11 hrs approx.)

Early morning, after breakfast, leave for Leh. On the way, cross Baralacha Pass (16020 ft), Nakeela, and Lachangla Pass (16,617 ft), experiencing the breathtaking landscapes. After lunch, continue the drive to Leh, passing through Skyangchu Thang, Tanglang La Pass (17,585 ft), and Upshi alongside the Indus River. Arrive in Leh and settle in for the night.

Day 03: Leh Local Sightseeing

In the morning, after breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Leh city. Visit the Hall of Fame Museum, Spituk Gompa, Leh Fort, and Shanti Stupa. Enjoy the evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 04: Leh - Nubra Valley (128 Kms | 4-5 hrs approx.)

After breakfast, drive to the enchanting Nubra Valley via Khardungla, the highest motorable road in the world at 18,380 ft. Take short breaks at roadside cafes and scenic points for photography. Check in at the hotel/camp/guest house and, post lunch, enjoy a camel safari on the unique double-humped camels between Deskit and Hundur Village. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

Day 05: Nubra - Pangong Lake via Shyok River Road (150 Kms | 6-7 hrs approx.)

After breakfast, leave for the mesmerizing Pangong Lake at 14,500 ft, with a scenic drive of 6 – 7 Hrs via the Shyok river road. Arrive at the camp, and enjoy free time at leisure, witnessing the color-changing lake and the sunset on its banks. Overnight stay at Pangong Lake.

Day 06: Pangong Lake → Tsomoriri Lake (Approx. 200 km | 6–7 hours drive)

After an early breakfast, depart from Pangong Lake for a spectacular high-altitude journey to Tsomoriri Lake. The route takes you through the remote and scenic regions of Chushul, crossing Tahto La, passing the pristine Mirpal Tso, and ascending Kaksang La (17,850 ft / 5,430 m). Continue via Yaya Tso, Mahe, and Sumdo, enjoying breathtaking Himalayan landscapes along the way. Arrive at Korzok Village by evening, located on the banks of the mesmerizing Tsomoriri Lake. Overnight stay at Korzok.

Day 07: Tsomoriri – Tsokar - Taklangla – Leh (240 Kms | 7- 8 hrs approx.)

After breakfast, take a walk around the lake to enjoy the scenic beauty. Later, drive to Leh via Puga (Sulphur Mine), Tsokar Lake, and Taklang La Pass at 17,585ft, one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Arrive in Leh by evening. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 08: Leh – Sham Valley – Kargil (220 Kms | 6-7 hrs approx.)

After breakfast, leave for Kargil, enroute visit Magnetic Hill, Alchi Gompa, Lamayuru, and the Giant Maitreya at Mulbekh. Arrive at Kargil by evening for an overnight stay.

Day 09: Kargil – Srinagar (202 Kms | 6-7 hrs approx.)

After breakfast, drive to Srinagar, passing through Drass. Visit the Vijay Memorial Hall & Museum. On arrival in Srinagar, drop off at the hotel or houseboat. The journey concludes.
