Ayodhya, the legendary birthplace of Lord Rama, beckons pilgrims after the new temple was established. Below are the key points of the  journey through this sacred city:

Reaching the Temple: Valmiki International Airport, near Ayodhya Cantt, serves the city. Cars and larger vehicles park 300 meters from the main temple entrance. Private cars can access a point 200 meters closer through a back route (arrange this beforehand with IndiaCARZ). Entire Temple complex construction is in progress and this may take another 2 years.

A Comfortable Pilgrimage: The entire walking path to the temple is carpeted, allowing barefoot walks. Restrooms and medical facilities are readily available within the complex.

Bathing in the Saryu: The temple area boasts several bathing ghats, some less crowded than the main Saryu Ghat. IndiaCARZ drivers are familiar with these  less crowded ghats, all fed by the holy Saryu River. Ideal times for a dip are early mornings for lesser crowds or late evenings when the water is warm. Refreshingly, all hotels in Ayodhya Dham use Saryu River water, so you may avoid it.
