Betul is one of the few villages in Goa where no mechanized boats are allowed, guests can walk around small lanes dotted with colorful homes of traditional artisans who can still be seen making ropes, weaving nets, carving canoes and catching fish using traditional techniques. The guests get to live within the fishing community whose culture is also showcased through a rich repository of artifacts displayed all over the property and a museum dedicated to marine biodiversity through a wide display of sea shells, corals and fossils from across the world .
The property has recently been renovated with a façade of exposed red laterite and a swimming pool which contrasts with the surrounding lush greenery. Hand-crafted floor tiles in earthy colours, bright terracotta roof tiles, wooden doors and columns, arches, bay windows, produce an ambience to calm weary travellers from their stressful lives. There are two units with a total of 7 rooms overlooking the river. Each room has en suite bathroom and is equipped with modern amenities. The home also has a swimming pool, a spacious dining and a cozy living room.
